Sports-focused XOS recapped at more than $37M

Xos DigitalORLANDO, FL – XOS Digital, a company selling content management software and digital media services for college and pro sports organizations, disclosed that it had recapped with a B round in April but did not disclose the amount. According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company raised at least $37.1 million of a targeted $41.9 million.

Investors include NewSpring Ventures with Dublin Capital and existing investors Blue Chip Venture Capital Co. and Beechtree Capital.

The proceeds from the offering will fund the ongoing development and enhancement of the XOS Digital Sports Media Distribution Platform and for general corporate purposes.

“XOS is entering a new phase of growth and innovation that required additional growth capital,” said Chris McCleary, CEO, XOS Digital.

The company sells advanced technology products, digital system design and integration, content management solutions, and integrated media services to sports teams, athletic organizations and sports marketers in North America.

The company was founded in 1999. Its Web site includes a timeline outlining its development.

Its customers include 900 teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA, WNBA, NAIA, MLB, AFL, Euroleague and other leading sports organizations.
