Virginia-based Altegrity acquires John D. Cohen Inc.

FALLS CHURCH, VA – ltegrity Inc., a global screening and security solutions provider, has acquired John D. Cohen Inc., a contract provider of national security policy guidance and counsel to the federal government.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

John D. Cohen Inc., will become part of US Investigations Services and operate under the auspices of and coordinate its efforts with Altegrity’s new business, Altegrity Security Consulting, supporting its mission of providing a broad range of thought-leading services and proprietary solutions to law enforcement agencies and the federal government, both within the United States and overseas.

Recognized as one of the “100 key people in Homeland Security” by the National Journal magazine, John D. Cohen, who leads the business, has significant experience in law enforcement, security services, and national security policy development.

He served as the Senior Homeland Security Policy Advisor to both the Governors of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Arizona prior to founding his security consulting business in 2005.

From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Cohen served as an advisor on homeland security and law enforcement issues to a variety of state and local governments following the attacks on the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001. Prior to 2001, he held a series of high-level analyst, policy development, and security investigations positions, including service as senior policy analyst.
