RALEIGH, NC – Economic development-focused Site Selection magazine says North Carolina has the number 1 business climate in the nation.

Citing the state’s tech-focused universities and high-tech development, the magazine says both are centers of business growth.

Texas ranked was No. 2, followed by Virginia, Ohio and Tennessee in the magazine’s rankings.

The annual rankings are determined by the number of new and expanded business facility projects in each state and other factors such as transportation infrastructure, local taxes and work force evaluations.
