Virginia-based OpenQ nabs $2.5M A round

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – OpenQ Inc., a company selling software to help pharmas, biotech and life science research organizations meet compliance needs, has raised $2.5 million in Series A financing.

Dow Jones VentureWire reported the funding.

The company’s customers include 7 of the Top 10 pharmaceutical and 3 of the Top 5 medical device companies.

Its services include Key Opinion Leader management.

Company President Jim Zuffoletti as been a founder of start up organizations as both an entrepreneur and an intrapreneur. He founded FreeMarkets Inc, an e-business firm and previously worked at GE in a variety of finance and business development positions.
