Virginia-based RightStar Systems acquiring Progressive Service Managment

VIENNA, VA – RightStar Systems, an IT consultancy and BMC Elite Solution Partner, says is acquiring Progressive Service Management, another BMC Software solution provider.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Both companies will share ownership and leadership in the new entity, which will assume the RightStar brand identity. The acquisition will be completed by January 15, 2009.

RightStar’s President Dick Stark commented, “The combination of RightStar and Progressive will add significant value to our customers and to our technology partner, BMC Software. Together we will offer a complete solution for improving IT operations that will be unmatched in our market space.”

RightStar resells and implements BMC Remedy ITSM and BMC Service Desk Express service management solutions based on IT Infrastructure Library and IT Service Management good practices. Progressive leads the industry in the BMC Service Desk Express market space.
