Amazon buys Georgia-based Fabric.com

MARIETTA, GA – Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq:AMZN) has bought Marietta-based Fabric.com.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Fabric.com, founded 9 years ago, sells fabrics, sewing tools, patterns and accessories.

Amazon says it has seen growing interest in the fabric segment over the years.
