March 25th, 2008

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC—Kryosphere, a biostorage company, has raised $1 million in angel investments and debt financing, the Triangle Business Journal reports.

Founded in 2007, the company plans to open its first location in Research Triangle Park in May, the TBJ says.

The company will provide biorepository, logistical, and management services to companies with a critical biospecimen component to academic, government, and commercial clients. The company’s cold storage maintains bio samples.

The Kryosphere facility will house up to 5 million biological research samples at ultra-low temperatures.
