BALTIMORE, MD—The University of Maryland, Baltimore has received a $1 million grant from the Maryland Technology Development Corp. for a business incubator at its BioPark.
UMB BioPark developer Wexford Science+Technology is matching the 10-year interest free loan. It will fund 8,500 square feet of lab space and offices for startups.
BioPark’s second building is set to start accepting tenants in March. Paragon Bioservices, which sells cell products and research, will be among the first in the building.
