December 14th, 2007

WINSTON-SALEM, NC–Chaohao Hou, an MBA student at the Wake Forest Babcock Graduate School of Management, has won a $5,000 grant from the Chambers Family Fund for Entrepreneurship.

The grant is intended to help Hou develop a nanomaterials company in conjunction with a European partner.

The company, Filigree Nanotech, has space at Wake Forest’s Angell Center for Entrepreneurship.

Hou says the company’s nanomaterials can improve conductivity by at least 10 times using an electrical adhesive. It could result in such products as thinner, lighter cell phones with extended battery life.
