WINSTON SALEM, NC—The NC Nanotech Conference, an annual event, is set for March 26 and 27 at Salem College, hosted by the Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network.

The conference will focus on the outlook for nanotech commercialization in the state.

A Triad firm, Quartek Corp., based in High Point, has a NanoAccelerator that hosts several early stage start-up companies and will be features in the program.

The conference also features a look at the work of Yousef Haik, director of the Center for Nanobioscience at UNC Greensboro, who is studying way sto treat cancer tumors with lower doses of chemo or radiation via nanotechnology.

The conference is designed for nanotech entrepreneurs, companies that invest in nanotech, and investors.
