Techjournal South seeks Influential People nominations

September 26th, 2007

TechJournal South is seeking nominations for its 25 most influential people in the Southeast technology and business world article in November.

We’re looking for the type of person who is often asked for advice, who is invited to speaking engagements and panels, who has particular sector expertise, who is well known, well connected, and well thought of for business or technology acumen, preferably both.

They might be serial entrepreneurs, politically important, an academic or an executive with a sterling track record or a venture capitalist known far and wide or in a specific area. They may head or be an officer of one of the region’s technology or economic development organizations.

Some examples might be: David Day of the University of Florida’s Tech Transfer office; former VA Gov. Mark Warner (who is both a politician, venture capitalist and entrepreneur and speaks at many Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern events); Norris Tolson, new president of the NC Biotech Center; Tino Mantella, president of the Technology Association of Georgia.

Send nominations by Oct. 24 to:
