Solarity raises $5M

September 25th, 2007

CORRECTED: ATLANTA—Solarity Inc., a Georgia Tech spin-out, has raised a $5 million Series A funding led by New Enterprise Associates, Thompson Financial’s PE Newswire reports, citing a regulatory filing.

Founded by Ajeet Rohatgi, the company will be changing its name to avoid confusion with another company with the same name that uses technology from Pennsylvania’s NanoHorizons.

We incorrectly connected the two companies in our report yesterday.

Rohatgi is director of Georgia Tech’s University Center of Excellence in Photovoltaics.
