September 21st, 2007

WASHINGTON, DC—Nuclear Solutions Inc. (OTCBB:NSOL.OB) says it has been granted a U.S. patent for technology that detects shielded nuclear weapons.

Patrick Herda, NSI CEO said in a statement that the patent positions the company to seek funding and commercialize the technology.” He said the company spent four years in development of the concept.

The company has not generated any profits and reported a loss of $1.2 million in the second quarter this year.

The new patent pertains to a detection technique based semiconductor laser mode hopping, triggered by the gravitational interaction with high specific density nuclear materials. This new approach appears to hold potential for significant improvement over other methods.
