TAMPA, FL—Westshore Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on small-market buyouts and recapitalizations, has acquired American Paper Optics in partnership with its founder John Jerit.
Based in Memphis, Tenn., American Paper Optics is the world’s largest manufacturer of paper-based optical devices such as 3-D glasses, diffraction glasses, decoders, and many other products used in the advertising, promotions and entertainment industries.
The company offers its customers a broad product line of various optical films that are used to view advertising and entertainment content in print, direct mail, product packaging, theatres, home videos and television broadcasts.
Westshore Capital Partners and Jerit formed their partnership in order to accelerate the company’s growth through product line development and potential acquisitions.
In addition to seeking product acquisitions for American Paper Optics, Westshore Capital Partners is interested in making new investments in other manufacturing, distribution and service oriented companies based in the United States and Canada who are leaders in their industry and have revenues between $8 million and $40 million.
