Three southeast states in running for $300M flu vaccine plant

MARIETTA, GA – Marietta’s Solvay Pharmaceuticals has narrowed down its list of location possibilities for a proposed $300 million biotech research center that would develop and produce flu vaccines, according to various reports.

The states that are in the final running for the facility include Alabama, Georgia, New York and North Carolina.

The facility which is being developed under a contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services would employ as many as 300 workers.
