GERMANTOWN, MD—Telkonet, which develops high-speed voice, video and data technology, has acquired Milwaukee-based EthoStream for $11.7 million in cash and stock.

It is the second acquisition for the AMEX listed (AMEX:TKO) company this month. It bought Las Vegas-based Smart Systems International for $7 million in cash and stock on March 15.

EthoStream, which sells high-speed wireless Internet service to multi-tenant buildings and the hospitality market, had $3.5 million in 2006 revenue. It serves more than 1,500 hotel and timeshare properties.
