FAIRFAX, VA – mindSHIFT Technologies, a Fairfax-based, privately-held provider of IT services, said on Thursday that it has acquired FivePoints, a New York-based, privately held provider of messaging and archiving technology to financial services firms. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
mindShift stated that the acquisition will allow it to offer services that help companies meet new federal mandates requiring individuals in federal litigation to preserve and collect electronically stored information.
Founded in 1999, the company provides managed information technology services and software integration for businesses, including legal firms and non-profit organizations. Last summer, mindSHIFT Technologies closed on an $18 million funding round, with backing from Columbia Capital, Fidelity Ventures, and TD Fund.
