FORT MYERS, FL – CallMiner, a developer of speech analytics software, has received an additional investment of $10 million from multiple investors, including Durham’s Intersouth Partners.
The investment was made by a combination of Sigma Partners, Inflexion Partners and Intersouth. Sigma Partners, which led the Series B round, is a new investor in CallMiner and will add Robert Davoli, Sigma’s managing partner, to CallMiner’s Board of Directors.
Both Inflexion and Intersouth previously participated in CallMiner’s initial $2.8 million Series A Financing in 2004 and elected to re-invest additional capital into CallMiner as part of this Series B round.
Founded in 2002, CallMiner provides speech analytics software, enabling enterprise customers to uncover actionable business intelligence from call center recordings.
CallMiner will use proceeds toward the development of new sales channels, the expansion of existing sales channels, aggressive marketing, and toward the creation and deployment of improvements to the company’s innovative core technologies.
“CallMiner has several of the elements that we view as essential to success: great technology, a sales-oriented focus, and a fantastic market opportunity,” said Robert Davoli, managing director of Sigma Partners.
