RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Overture Networks, a developer of packet-based multiservice access platforms, announced the completion of a $6 million financing round. Menlo Park, CA-based Morgenthaler Ventures and Durham-based Intersouth Partners, led the round with additional funds coming from Armada Ventures and Gray Ventures.

John Glushik, a partner at Intersouth, will join the Overture Networks board.

The new funds will be used to further technology development and to support additional marketing and sales initiatives.

This is Overture Networks’ 2nd institutional round of fundraising and is the 3rd round overall. With this investment, Overture Networks has now raised $24 million to-date.
